Pertemuan dan rapat perdana digelar oleh Himpunan Mahasiswa Prodi (HMP) Bimbingan dan Konseling IKIP Gunungsitoli.
Dalam penuturannya ketua HMP BK Leswan Zebua menyampaikan bahwa program yang akan dilakukan disesuaikan dengan kesepakatan musyawarah dan mufakat bersama.
Beberapa mahasiswa juga menawarkan adanya pelatihan program Daftar Cek Masalah (DCM) serta diharapkan adanya keterlibatan organisasi SMF dan HMP setiap ada kegiatan seminar proposal Mahasiswa BK. Hal ini bertujuan agar keberadaan organisasi di BK dapat dirasakan langsung oleh mahasiswa BK itu sendiri.
